General Overview
Himalayan Adventure TourThe Himalaya chain is spread southeast to northwest across the Asian continent. What is called the ‘Indian Himalayas’ is that part of the Himalayan chain which lies within Indian Territory. In the east, the Indian Himalaya originates from a knot between Myanmar. China and India. The chain continues to the border of Bhutan. Beyond that lies Sikkim, home to many peaks including the world’s third highest, Kangchenjunga. The Himalayan range west of Sikkim forms part of Nepal until you reach the border of Kumaun and Garhwal. From here the Indian Himalayan chain continues without a break through Kinnaur, Spiti, Ladakh and lastly East Karakoram.

Covering the entire northern part of India, Himalayas is the highest and one of the most spectacular range in the world. The whole Himalayan range stretches over 1,700 miles covering states like Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttranchal and the North Eastern States. The region is an ideal place for various adventure sports like mountaineering, trekking, skiing and river rafting that attract large number of adventure enthusiasts from all over the world.

Jammu & Kashmir - The Jammu & Kashmir region consists of three regions including the plains of Jammu, the lakes and valleys of Kashmir and the beautiful mountains of Ladakh. Kashmir is popular for its pleasant climate, and the houseboat on the picturesque Dal Lake. Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir offers some of the beautiful gardens that are worth visiting. Jammu on the other hand is the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir and is another pleasant place to visit.

Himachal Pradesh
The state Himachal Pradesh is popular for its snow clad mountain peaks, streams, serene blue valleys, and hill stations. Shimla, the capital of the state is a wonderful hill station which offers breathtaking scenery and tremendous option for adventure sports.
