km from Lonavala and 101 km southeast of Mumbai, Khandala is among the
finest hill stations of the state of Maharashtra. Khandala is set in the
hills of the Shayadri mountains and is gifted with astound natural bounty.
It provides a rapid escape to the locals of Mumbai from the hustle and
bustle of the city. The mystifying waterfalls and the scenic beauty of the
place attract a huge crowd from all parts. It's a land of beautiful hills,

Climate of Khandala
Khandala experiences a pleasant climate. Summers extend from April to June
and are mild. November to February are the winter months. The weather is
cool during the period. Heavy southwestern monsoons come between the months
of June and September. Monsoon season should be avoided and the best time to
visit the hill station is between the months of October and May.
Major Attractions of Khandala
» Shivaji Park - It was previously a playground and
was converted into a park in the year 1956. The statute of Shri Shivaji
Maharaj, the great Maratha ruler, stands here. It's a perfect place to
relax, enjoying the scenic surroundings at the same time.
» Duke's Nose - Named after Duke Wellington, the
place is in the shape of a hood of a snake. The Duke had a pointed nose and
the place resembles that. It will prove to be an amazing experience enjoying
the natural wealth of the place.

Kune Falls - Located between Lonavala and Khandala, the Kune Falls
cascades down from a height of 100 feet and makes a splendid sight.
Meandering through the valleys it also gives the chance of taking a bath.
» Tiger's Leap - As one keenly looks at the valley
from this spot it seems as if a tiger is leaping into the valley. And for
the reason the spot is termed as the Tiger's Leap. From the safe confines of
a big hole, one can have an intoxicating view of the valley.
